Think about it. When was the last time you saw an ad for a cleaning product that featured a man? And no, Mr. Clean and the Bounty Lumberjack don’t count.
This raised a large discussion in one of my classes today and I found it interesting as well. Why is no one out there targeting men for laundry detergent or air freshener? In the ideal world of these cleaning products it would seem that men don’t clean at all – and more often than not it’s the men and children that are causing the messes for the woman of the house to clean up.
And hey, maybe this is the reason college boys are so bad at doing laundry. Because no cleaning product is reinforcing the idea that they should even
want have to do it.
Well enough of this little rant……I actually have some laundry to do.
