I’ll be graduating from Miami University in a few months with a degree in Media and Culture (Interactive Media, Journalism and Film), and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters for their support. I was grateful to receive a 2010 NHAB scholarship for my freshman year of college and thrilled to be selected for a summer internship at Clear Channel Media and Entertainment in 2012. I was especially honored to receive the Al Sprague Memorial Scholarship this summer, in memory of the former president of the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters. Mr Sprague was also the founder and chief executive of Bedford Granite Group and he left his mark on broadcasting in the Granite State with his passion for media, love of the arts, industry advocacy, leadership and entrepreneurship.
Applications will be available soon for the 2014-2015 NHAB Student Broadcaster Scholarship Program. To be eligible, students must be permanent residents of New Hampshire, and in the process of enrolling, or currently enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning with a focus in radio or television broadcasting. If you are considering a future in broadcasting or looking for an internship, learn more at www.nhab.org/students/ or write to: NHAB 707 Chestnut St. Manchester, NH 03104
