The 2014 Olympic Games begin this week in Sochi, Russia.  2,500 athletes from 88 countries (plus 1,650 Paralympians from 45 countries) will compete in 15 sports (and 89 unique events) over 17 days, celebrating the values of excellence, friendship and respect.  The Olympic Games seek to build a peaceful and better world through solidarity, team spirit, joy and optimism in sport, inspiring people to overcome political, economic, gender, racial or religious differences and forge friendships in spite of those differences.

“With a nation behind us, and with the world before us, within us all…amazing awaits.”
