This is my friend Ava London Doiron-Frankland. She is the bravest person I know. Ava is five years old and she has brain cancer.
On Friday, May 23rd, I joined Ava’s Army at North Salem Elementary School for a special party for Ava. She is from New Hampshire and shortly after the fundraiser she flew to Ohio for treatment at the Cleveland Clinic, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Ava would love your prayers and your pull tabs. Ava’s family is staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland (10415 Euclid Avenue Cleveland, OH 44106) and they collect aluminum pull tabs from any container (soda pop, soup, pet food, etc.), working with a local recycler to turn those tabs into money for a Family Fund. The fund helps support the families that stay at RMH by providing meals and items for families, assistance in emergencies, and giving families special moments – like small gifts for children if they have a birthday while at the House. If you collect pull tabs, please consider supporting http://www.rmhcleveland.org/pull-tab-program
