Puddle Dock Pond Co-Chair Jeff Keefe just received national recognition from the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation in New York City. He was awarded Volunteer of the Year for his leadership effort and received a $20,000 donation for the Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond.
Jeff was quoted in NYC, “This award is really a community award, it’s not about what I’ve done. It’s about what my community has come together and accomplished on a collaborative effort. I’m very honored for the opportunity to represent Portsmouth, NH at this level.”
The Puddle Dock Pond Planning Committee has worked passionately to create this magical jewel in the heart of Portsmouth. In its inaugural winter season, Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond drew more than 22,000 skaters. It is one of my favorite places in Rockingham County.
Puddle Dock Pond will be opening for it’s second season in November. Make sure to visit for a wonderful winter experience. It’s like skating in a Currier & Ives snow globe! http://puddledockpond.org/
